Hatha yoga is the most widely practiced style of yoga in the United States.  It is a combination of asanas (yoga poses) pranayama (breath techniques) and relaxation (meditation).  This style of  yoga focuses on physical health and mental well being. 

At Everyday Yoga & Wellness we offer
    private yoga sessions or small yoga classes (3-4 people).
These yoga classes are designed to be intimate and personal; to give 
you that one on one instruction for your poses.

 

Private yoga sessions are done just like a class but it is tailored to you.  I take into consideration those areas that you are concerned with.

Some areas of concern might be:

  • Range of motion

  • Depression
  • Heart Problems

Yoga has been proven to help these conditions and many more.

I will combine the area or areas of concern with an all over body strengthening and stretching program.  The program will be designed to allow you to grow so you are always working at the right pace and in your strength zone.  The best part of private sessions is you can schedule the sessions according to your time table.

 Yoga Class Descriptions:


Yoga Flow:  This session style will help you explore yoga!  It is designed for all ages, sizes and yoga experience.  Flow simply means that we are chaining yoga poses (asanas) together, flowing from one pose into another.  This breaks up the class time by introducing changes in the pace.  We will be working on increasing our strength and flexibility, physically and mentally. This class is a great place for beginners to start.

PiYo: PiYo is a combination of Pilates and Yoga.  This session style  focuses on building the core (area between shoulders and knees) using Pilates and increasing flexibility with Yoga.  PiYo will strengthen and awaken the core of the body producing a calm, clear mind as well as balance of flexibility and power.  The combination of deep breathing and flowing sequence produces a purifying internal heat so you can see results in your body! 


Prenatal Yoga - This class is perfect for private sessions.  We all know that every pregnancy is different.  With this class we can move at your pace in a way that will bring you the most benefits. Prenatal Yoga is a great way to cultivate strength, flexibility, and stamina - all of which will help you feel great throughout your pregnancy as well as prepare your mind and body for labor, birth, and motherhood.  Along with breathing exercises and relaxation techniques, the pregnancy  yoga classes focus on poses that help ease the discomforts associated with pregnancy and prepare the body for childbirth.  This class truly starts the incredible bonding journey between child and mom.

Chair Yoga - A yoga class especially for those who, due to age, disability, injury, weight challenges or limited balance or mobility, find it difficult to get down on the floor.  Students enjoy the benefits of relaxation and increased flexibility from practicing yoga while sitting in a chair.  The class will focus on breath-work, stretches, supported strengthening poses and meditation.
